14 lb 9 oz TROUT caught at Santa Ana River Lakes
The Big Fish Lakes strikes again, 11 double digit trout were checked in at tackle-shop just this past week. Heaviest trout of the week was landed by Blake Brewart of Palisades.
Blake checked in a huge 14 pound 9 ounce trout using a green Lip RipperZ worm fishing by the boat dock. Kory Allen of Anaheim caught a 13 pound trout using a Mijo’s minnows fishing at Levitz corner. Scott Buchert of Newport Beach landed a 12 pound 4 ounce trout using a Lip RipperZ jig at Chris’ Pond.
Carlos Ortiz of Buena Park checked in 2 trout totaling 21 pounds with his largest trout weighing 11 pounds 12 ounces using a Trout King mini-jig at Levitz corner. David Rochin of Fullerton caught a 9 pound 8 ounce & a 7 pound 8 ounce trout using LGE Customs worm fishing in Chris’ Pond. DOUBLE DIGIT trout being caught at Corona Lake
The biggest trout in California continue to pour out of Corona Lake . Joey Salazar of Pomona caught a 11 pound 11 ounce trout using a mice tail fishing by the launch ramp.
Don Stephenson of Temecula caught a 11 pound 8 ounce trout using dough bait rolled with Hatchery Dust fishing near the stocking pipe. Howie Carlston of Corona caught a 10 pound 13 pounce trout using white Power-Bait down by the Dam. Ruben Alfaro of Riverside landed a 10 pound 10 ounce trout using a night-crawler fishing by the Dam. Scott Loomis of Covina checked in a 10 pound trout using Power-Bait rolled with Hatchery Dust fishing from a boat.
