40 POUND STRINGER WEIGHED IN AT SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES

Santiago Palacious of W. Covina fished the overnight camping/fishing special and ended up with 14 catfish totaling 40 pounds using both mackerel and shrimp at Chris’ Pond.   Santiago Palacious of W. Covina fished the overnight camping-fishing special and ended up with 14 catfish totaling 40 poundsSean Keenoy of San Pedro caught a 10 pound catfish using mackerel in the Catfish Lake.  Rebecca Gloudman of Garden Grove caught a 9 pound catfish using shrimp also in the Catfish Lake.  Miguel Ramiraz of Santa Ana caught a 8 pound 6 ounce catfish using mackerel in the Big Lake at the Pump House.

Santa Ana River Lakes is currently stocking catfish every Friday, Tilapia every other Friday and is open 7 days a week for both day & night fishing.  24 hour camping/overnight fishing is scheduled for every Friday & Saturday night, 5pm to 4pm the next day during the summer.
