HOT CATFISH BITE AT SANTA ANA RIVER LAKES
Catfish season is here and we have officially scheduled our BIG Catfish Opener for May 13-14-15 at Santa Ana River Lakes.  We will continue to stock catfish & tilapia every Thursday gearing up for this BIG event.  Dan Freeman with his 2 biggest cats at SARLDan Freeman from City of Industry caught 10 catfish totaling 45 poundsDan Freeman from City of Industry caught 10 catfish totaling 45 pounds his biggest cat weighed in at 10 pounds 8 ounce his biggest cat weighed in at 10 pounds 8 ounces fishing the overnight fishing/camping special. Dan used fresh mackerel from his float tube fishing near the Bubble Hole. Sean Keenoy of San Pedro caught and released a 22 pound sturgeon using shrimp fishing in the Catfish Lake.Sean with his 22 pound sturgeon caught and released at SARL Brandon Zendejas of Santa Ana caught and released a 11 pound 8 ounce catfish fishing at Levitz corner from a float tube using mackerel.  Marty Sauceda of Costa Mesa caught & released a 9 pound 8 ounce catfish using bonita fishing in the Catfish lake. Santiago Palacious of West Covina did back to back overnight sessions ending up with 20 catfish totaling 66 pounds using a shrimp & marshmallow combo fishing at the “nets” in Chris’ Pond.
