BIG CATS CHECKED IN AT SARL
The recent hot weather has certainly turned on the big cat bite here at Santa Ana River Lakes. Super cats giving float tube rides has been the theme lately here at SARL. Many double digit catfish have been checked in over the last couple weeks most caught from float tube fisherman. Judith Macias caught and released a 17 pound 4 ounce catfish using mackerel fishing in the Big Lake.
Judith was fishing from a float tube and released her big cat back into the Catfish Lake. 
Dave & Steve Rochin (brothers) of Fullerton each caught a 16 pound 8 ounce (two 16 pound 8 ounce catfish) fishing from 
Dave Rochin did it again a few days later, this time a 9 pound catfish using the same setup in the Big Lake. Jose Botello of Fullerton caught a 14 pound 12 ounce using mackerel from a float tube in the Big Lake.
Victor Anaya of Riverside caught a 14 pound blue catfish from a float tube kicking in the big lake using shrimp. Kevin Salgado of Hesperia caught a 10 pound 4 ounce catfish using mackerel fishing at the Bubble Hole.
